RF Limiters

Always RF offers a family of passive and quasi-active High Power RF Limiters which operate from HF to Ku Band frequency ranges with power handling capabilities up to +60 dBm. These RF Limiters provide "Always On" protection which afford complete protection to sensitive RF receivers, even when the.

RF Switches

Always RF offers a family of High Power PIN diode based surface mount RF switches which operate HF to Ku Band frequency ranges with power handling capabilities from +50 dBm to +62 dBm. The standard product family comes in SP2T, SP3T, SP4T, SP5T and SP6T configurations.

Connectorized Limiters

RFuW Engineering offers a family of SMA Connectorized RF Limiters (female-female) leveraging the extensive offering of SMT Limiters covering HF to Ku Band and Peak Power levels up to +63 dBm. These high thermal conductivity enclosures permit achieving rated power handling specifications without reliance of external heat sinking. RFuW Engineering product offering is an upgrade replacement for the former Aeroflex ACC/Cobham C46 body style RF Limiters which are no longer available. The SMA Connectorized RF Limiter enclosure measures 0.75” x 0.75” x 2.6”.

RF Switch Drivers

The fundamental building block of a High Power Switch is the PIN Diode and it is the I layer, or more precisely the intrinsic layer, which gives this device its unique characteristics. When charge is injected into the intrinsic layer of a PIN diode it becomes highly conductive and presents a low insertion loss path, the ON State. When the intrinsic layer is depleted of charge it becomes non-conductive and presents a high isolation state or the OFF State. These two states of the PIN Diode Switch can be readily accomplished when dealing with low power applications and there are a myriad of commercially available MMIC Switch Drivers for such applications. However, when the operating power is high, or the operating frequency is low, the PIN Diode requires high biasing voltages which exceeds the capabilities of commercially available MMIC Switch Drivers. It is for these more challenging applications that the family of RFD PIN Switch Drivers were designed to address.
